As some of you know from my previous posts, I spend quite abit of my time in hospital. This can vary from a few hours, to a few days. When I come out, and get adjusted, I want to get on with what I have had to leave off. Housework, washing ironing shopping ,cooking cleaning etc. And my beloved garden. I go in hospital, come out, it's raining so can't go outside. When I can, I usually get a couple of good days, weather wise and health wise, and it is back into the old routine. I had never thought about this much, until the other day, when speaking to a friend who has a husband that is going through a similar time to myself, though not with the same problems. I said I had not rung her for a couple of weeks as I thought they would have been busy with their garden. And that is when she used the expression, "We are playing catch-up all the time" |

I can sympathise with you ... 2 stays in hospital in last year ... time afterwards when I could do little ... then as soon as able to do so, had to go back to work ... weather either too hot or ground too wet, so this year I have a jungle rather than a garden |

Carol, my hospital stays are at least once a week, sometimes twice. At least in the winter, I only have the indoors to contend with, as apart from a few winter hanging baskets that I can see from my kitchen window for a bit of colour., I 'close' my garden down. |

Thanks for your replies gels. Taff, that has always been my philosophy up until now. But I just think time is whizzing by, and I am not getting anything done, that I would like to do. I always say these days, that I do not know how I had time to go to work, never mind have an important job, whilst juggling four children and a husband on shifts. |

Julia, I remember, when I was taking my late M in Law Edith back & forwards to hospital, her saying that her time feeling well between treatments was very precious. |
