Thanks for your replies peeps. Unfortunately, we do not have 'plastic money' in this house, so there is no way I can get away with a couple of your suggestions. Merlin, I think that is going too far, even for him, in any case I would not be able to get into a Ferrari. Moonchild, I will have to wise up abit I think
Thanks

I see you have been caught out too Julia.......what my OH used to do was give me the price of what it would cost after he had traded in his latest car.......and as he changed them often I would get used to it........until I got savvy and looked at the paperwork....

Now you know, keep your eye on him......lol.....

Just been cleaning the bathroom and was ruminating over some jocular!!! remarks made by OH whilst watching telly last night. There was an advert come on for a Mercedes car, which he said was the next one he was going to have. Not on this street I said, not at that price I said. He sort of mumbled about the price he had paid for his present car.
Now here is when the funny bit comes in. Call me naive, guillable, or too trusting. But, one day after he had been visiting me in hospital in Derby, and me saying don't stop long, get back for the dog, he apparently had a ride around the car showrooms and decided to buy a new Volkswagon Phaeton , and I do mean new. He told me it was £15,000, and in my drug enduced state, I swallowed this hook line and sinker, as yer do. It has a Sat Nav, and a Telly, which are meaningles to me as I am not a car driver, just a passenger. And it is better than the car my consulatant has. Then, I decided to look on Google this morning as to the real price of these cars. Can I just say, I am not a day time drinker, but there has to be an exception to every rule. And today, I am about to break that rule, in one god almighty big way.
Have a laugh, because, instead of chastising him, I am having to smile quietly to my self. But not anymore. If he does this again, he will be dead meat.
