I'm tired of hearing about it too Rox. BUT....................all I can suggest, and I hope everyone takes this to heart................keep yourselves as well as possible during the summer months, raising your immune system as high as it can go, because when the autumn comes the pandemic will worsen.

At the moment there is a lot of hype which is causing panic, but anyone with any sense must realise that this thing aint gonna filter out quickly and the autumn will be the telling time I think.

I personally am about to double my intake of good french red, and lace everything I eat liberally with garlic! I may still be susceptible to the flu, but not so many people will be coming near to me to infect me!

Not so many cases in Scotland, I heard on the news at 5-30 it's not as bad as first thought.

So far I dont know anyone who has had it.
Saying that I bought paracetimal and Lucosade..just incase lol.

Touch wood i have never had the flu and hope I never do. OH did about 30 yr ago and he was in bed for two weeks, lost a stone in weight. Now that is flu.
So if I get it I think I will know.

i can understand those who are ill panicking
and rightly so in some cases
but it is getting blown up out of all proportion in my home town not so long ago we were all going to die of bird flu
and it died out lets hope swine flu does the same

I couldn't agree more Rox. In fact I have posted on another thread that common flu is worse than the swine flu at the moment.

I am in the 'risk' category but like Daff I believe that what will be will be.

I couldn't live my life worrying about 'what might be'.

I'm not worried much... what will be, will be.... but as I am in the at risk category.... I'll take the same precautions as I would for any other flu.

It might be different if I was a bit more vulnerable than I am now... last winter I was virtually under house arrest, lol!

I had baby flu a couple of months ago, and felt pretty rough with it!!

I so agree with you Roxanne. Talk about over egging the pudding. To go off on a tangent, my dear old mum had cancer of the rectum, I saw it with my own eyes. But it was never put on her death certificate. So it looks as if we have never had cancer in our family.

..of hearing about "Swine Flu" its been blown out of all proportion, dont you think?
Media have a lot to answer to!!

yes, people have died from it,but people die from lots of things every day ,did you know that the stats are wrong too,if someone has a heart attack but was also infected with swine flu their putting it down as a "Swine Flu" death!!

so get on with your life and stop worrying:-)))
