My daughters baby is 11 weeks old. Last week I watched with a mixture of awe and concern as she struggled to roll from her back onto her tummy , now she can do it as a matter of course.
Is it my imagination or has she mastered this movement really rather soon ??
I don't think she has worked out how to roll back the other way yet but I'm sure it won't be long...........lol

It's never too soon, it shows she is developing really well and has strengthened her spine enough to be able to do so. It usually happens around three months (which is 12 weeks, so she's not that early really )

Well done, now you'll have to make sure the floor is clear and she can't roll under something and get stuck, like my son did. He rolled under the sideboard but couldn't roll back out again, he could only roll one way, and hadn't figured out reverse LOL

Lol Teresa...........she hasn't been let loose on our floor as we have three dogs and might get stood on.Her Mum and Dad are getting a place to live next weeek so I'll pass the tip on.
Funnily enough I did hear a story of her Granddad getting stuck under a side board when he was a babe , perhaps she has taken after him.......lol

Sounds like baby is doing well, Amanda and now the young couple are getting a place of their own. Sounds like everything is coming together for them. Best wishes to you all.

My son was almost 16 weeks old when he rolled over for the first time. He walked for the first time on his first birthday.

My daughter was 11 weeks when she rolled over, we imagined a 9 month walker but she was 11 and a half months when she took her first step, but within a week of that was walking with confidence (the little moo she was LOL )

My son was almost a year old before he walked. Up until then he'd either crawled - very fast - or hung onto my leg and hitched a lift on my foot. Then, he took one or two steps one day and the next day that was it - walking everywhere!

Thank you for the good wishes SueMaid and Little White Dove : ))

I keep wondering where the last 11 weeks have gone , it seems as if baby Emily has been here forever.

Mildred and Jill , it just goes to show that they are all different in when and how they do things .

Emily's Mum walked at 9 months and by 10 months could leap like a gargoyle off of furniture..........lol

Awww how lovely! I can't believe it is now eleven weeks since Emily arrived! I only have one son but I cannot rememer when he started crawling, walking, talking, etc. I always think he was born doing all those things! lol

Big kissy wissy for little Emily:-))
