As a follow up from last nights thread I have had a response from Genes No apology for possibly wrecking my relationship with what little family I have left living only to offer a email to all contacts to ask them to remove this information, I will not know if they do this and it's probably to late now anyway. I am going to email them all and request that they do not publish any of the information on line as one of my contacts has very innocently done and this is what has caused the problems. I will then be removing my tree from genes and never using this site again. so thank you to al of you who have come into my life and thank you to those of you who have helped me when I have struggled. I will be sad to go as essentially this is a brilliant site and useful tool to do research and find family members but I am no longer prepaid to risk information going out to people who should not have it.

Dear Fian

Hello,

The chances of personal information being used for shall we say
bad purposes are small.

If the people who have this info are sent e-mails by GR or yourself, most if not all will delete it.

Print out your tree from GR.

You still use the site for research.

Hope this helps

Best wishes
