OH is a GP and he had a call today whilst in surgery from a lady who was in ASDA doing her shopping with 2 screaming children in the background to say ...................she thought she has swine flu!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!,and what should she do.
What has happened to common sense?????
The other call he had was from a man who had Tammi flu off the web and was asking if it was alright to take.!!!!
And I wonder why he comes home in a strop lol

I've always told him he should keep a little book of all the strange phone calls he has had over the years.I remember one night a few years back when he was on call from home and he was out on a visit and I answered the phone .It was a lady who had lost her husband the day before and she said her plastic flowers were talking to her on the window sill,and she was convinced it was a message from her hubby!!!!!!!! It was a very interesting conversation lol

One of my daughters is a Tissue Viablitly Nurse, the other is a Radiographer doing MRI's. They both have tales to tell; no names, no pack drill, of course!

the mad woman in Asda is now probably moving into our house where she will be quite at home with mrs Igor , a manic dog and a seriously satanic cat lol
But will not be allowedwithin 6 miles of my record collection
but joking apart g p's do a very hard job and my sympathys go out to them having to deal constantly with prats

I keep reading and hearing that our Ambulance system in Oz is "overworked and under-funded", yet I heard of a young woman who called them to her home because she had recently had her tongue pierced and she looked in the mirror and decided it was infected! The ambos had to wait around until she was attended to and allowed to leave - so that they could take her home.

She could have walked one block to the local GP.

What,s he doing taking phone call,s in Surgery .

Trebor ,I'm not sure if he was actually seeing a patient at the time or he was at the surgery,maybe in the office or somewhere.I doubt he would have taken a call while seeing a patient.
I just wonder about people sometimes lol
