My dog has just walked past and knocked the table my lappy sat on............whoosh wine all over it :0(

Got a blank screen and yet it's showing as *on*

Rang my friends son who is puter expert (OH in bed as working tomo) and his honest advice is..........*it's dead*

*sighs*

Usually i'd go climbing the walls.........after today.........I'm calmly on the ancient lappy with no letters left shaking my head at how when you have money things like that never happen.........when you don't all of it comes up and bites you on the bum !!!!

hey ho if the insurance pay out all well and good.........if not........so what.

So much more to life than this anyhow.........

Loss of the wine tbh lol it was my one bottle of the week and I lost the last and best glass lol

i just tried to switch it on again and it made as if it was going to fire up but then just kind of died.

I'm half hopeful it may do what my mobile did when I dropped it down the loo.......dry out after a couple of days lol xx

I tipped it upside down and loads flowed out lol.

Went all over the sofa too but luckily that had been scotchguarded so it all came out .

this lappy is awful the space bar doesn't work unless you bash it and the letters are all missing lol

Wasn't thinking straight today and left puter and wine together.......

A few years ago, my cat jumped onto the table where my puter was, and I thought I saved my wine by my quick response - grabbing the glass by the stem and holding it upright. Didn't work. The wine did a lurch and retreated, but ONE little drop splashed out onto my keyboard. Cost me a new keyboard.

I learned. Never have any liquid near the puter at any time, anymore.

get the hair dryer out quick lol

A costly lesson taught me never to have liquids any where near a computer.

Hope insurance covers it

It;s still not working this morning but I'm leaving it upside down in the airing cupboard ........you never know it MAY dry out eventually lol.Going to leave it a few days and if no luck then try an insurance claim on it........i'm pretty sure I have accidental damage cover on my home insurance.

Took laptop out of airing cupboard and tried it. this morning........it made loads of odd noises but at least we got a screen !!!!!!

Phoned Dell expecting them to tell us it was dead........but it seems it's only the hard drive that's corrupted........so they're goingto send me a new one tomorrow !!!!!!

Well done Dell !!!! Can't wait to get the proper puter back with a fully operational keyboard........unlike this clattery old machine lol xx

Muffy, don't be so ungrateful........ at least you've got a computor to go on, just imagine NO putor what would you do, lol...No don't answer that. Glad you'll get yours back soon.
