Well, Daff. I tasted mine after adding a few peas - and I didn't feel like spoiling the chicken, so I tossed it! Maybe the chicken would have improved it! who knows?

Let us know if you try it - and if you recommend it, I'll have another go at it. By then, the memory of the taste might have dimmed!

Now that I know peppermint is good for 'belches' I'm glad I didn't eat it!

That's something I DON'T need!

The re-heated chicken was quite nice with the gravy, spud, and vegies.

Isn't peppermint good to bring up.....well, belches? So, if you're that way inclined Berona, I'd eat it, just for the added benefits!

I took your advice, SRS and opted for the gravy. That way, I could also have the stuffing. The curry will have to wait until next time - and I'll have the coconut milk or the evaporated milk (to put the COCONUT essence into).

I don't recommend using peppermint essence in a curry.

It's easy done Berona, at least you had the good sense to taste it before you put it on the chicken.

I'd start again or go for the gravy. Don't ruin your chicken by eating it.

Since living alone, I have become a lazy cook but to-day decided that I would make a curry to use up the last of the chicken (which I bought ready-cooked).

Without all the ingredients I would like to have used, I improvised by using frozen onion, margarine, flour, milk, curry powder and coconut essence.

I was feeling quite proud of myself at having made it all in the microwave without getting any lumps, but when I tasted it, I thought "too much peppermint". Peppermint? did I say peppermint? I sure did. The Coconut essence was still in the cupboard! Can I help it if the bottles look the same? Lucky I hadn't added the chicken!

Now, I don't know whether to brave it out and eat it, start again using coconut essence, or just have gravy - out of a can.

Does anyone else do silly things like this? or am I showing my age?
