Legacy is free to download and has some training videos which you can watch, it is far superior to generations which I started out with years ago.The basic layout is similar so I had no problems in changing over
The basic version is Fine , but you can pay a one off fee later if you wish to upgrade to the deluxe version which lets you print off fancy reports and charts

I wrote lots of simple "how to " guides for this software for another website, you are welcome to them should you chose to use Legacy

Lots of people use Family Tree Maker which you have to buy a disc for

can anynody recommned a good Family Tree maker software. Used to have Generations Grand Suite for win 95/98 but I understand it will not run on vista
