I've had my after my name for quite a few years now - there was once another kerfuffle with sneaky name changes. nothing changes on this site lol despite what those who long for the 'good old days' may try and tell you!!

Can we shorten them? say, to Sue101 or SueM202, RR405???

I've always been an alpha typist - never use the numberic pad - so I use the numbers on the top row - but still haven't learned to do them without looking.

No real reason Berona - I just think it would be a good idea if GR automatically put a person's membership no. after their name and then we would know who we're talking to when some people change their names on a whim.

Pat you can see your own membership no. by right clicking on your name and clicking Properties. That's how I did it.

Susanwithnumbers I have always admired you and wanted to be just like you and now I am - creepy uh?

Hello those down under and insomniacs :-))

I'll leave my number off cos I like my twiddly bits and I have never changed my name apart from one Xmas when I was Danger Sprout.....

Yes, you got it right. Doing it the other way doesn't work for all screens. It repeats the www address and doesn't get to the number before the remainder of the address is covered.

p.s. any reason, Sue?

Thanks Shelly,
That doesn't work for me :-( But I can see other peoples numbers if I right click their names and then look in 'properties'. I didn't think it would work for myself though! Duh!
