I missed my chance of love forever
After all these years
Lots of happy memories and a few tears
Loved her so, always will
I think of her each day,
She is so much the love of my life
Though I caused her strife
Beautiful lady gave me gorgeous children
Beautiful grandchildren six in all love them all so much

Hi Dave,

I think you will have to let things go as they will now, just try to be friends with Marilyn as gently as you can, no pressure, just be civil when you meet at family dos and such and maybe move on and make some new friends. One day another person might fill that place in your heart and the same for Marilyn. She knows you are always there for her if she needs you but obviously her trust has gone and she can't find the same feelings for you any more. Life goes that way sometimes, don't spend the rest of your life waiting, my friend, go out and find some happiness, maybe join an evening class or something or one in the daytime or do some voluntary work to keep you busy, and out of the pub.

I hope Marilyn is over the swine flu now and can enjoy some nice times with the wonderful family you both created. That's something you share for always and can both be proud of.

hi all i can say is you cant help how you feel especially when you share things like children grandchildren if you truly love her and think you may have a chance of getting her back then its got to be worth a try without being overpowering cant you tell her how you feel in a letter then leave it up to her and whatever the outcome remain friends life is to short at least you will know one way or another and you will have done all you can
