There are some homeopathic tablets, I think made from comfrey which was called knitbone in the old days, that will help a break heal faster.

Hope you are on the mend now and will soon have more movement.

I am going to hospital tomorrow morning.

it takes a while
my daughter broke a bone in her wrist,
she had to have physio,
now sometimes if its real cold
she feels a weakness in that part of her wrist where is broke,
and it werent a big one either

Sorry about your rist, hope it heals quickly for you. I also think it depends on your age how fast anything heals.

Anne. Sorry you are in plaster, but hope you've not got much pain.

Can't answer your question, but I know when my mum broke her wrist, no surgery involved, she had the plaster on for about 6wks.

Hope it is back to full use soon.

well mines not broken but brain wont allow it to work following stroke at beginning of april but I'm getting brilliant physio and I do believe that will be the most important thing for you once youve got the plaster off, dont despair I've got used to typing quite fast now with one hand.

i had a colles fracture which is just above the wrist and it was immobilized in plaster with the hand sloped downwards for 6 weeks. I needed lots of physio afterward to get the wrist mobile again wasnt able to turn my hand over automatically etc as the wrist had set in the one position.
Its OK now by the way although have been left with a bit of weakness for lifting things with that arm.

I have a plate and two screws in my wrist. I am in plaster at moment. Due to see surgeon again on Friday. I just wondered how long wrist bones take to heal.

I had a broken scaphoid bone in my right wrist 24 years ago had a plasterh on fpr 3 weeks to immobilise it.

This is the first time I have broken a bone so I do not know how long bones take to heal.

Hi I have just come out of hospital after surgery on my wrist. Can anyone tell me how long it will take to get back to normal?
