When my dad first came home from hospital his words were random and usually from past occupations. |

My Dad had a stroke six years ago. He lost the use of the right side and his speech. I told him how good sky + was so he could record programmes that are on too late for him to stay up to watch. Two years on he still can't remember how to use it. Sometimes by fluke he records movies and gets billed for them! |

Well done.My dad,who lost a lot of his speech with his stroke, could only remember one persons name.It wasn't even somebody we ever talk about but every conversation was about him and everything belonged to him. |

Ah bless him. One small step at a time. Hope he continues to make progress. Cup of tea at 5 am - that is a bit too early . but at least he can do that. |

OH had a stroke at the end of March and for two weeks I have been trying to make him understand something. Today talking about it once again I could see the light in his eyes where it just registered what I had been trying to tell him. I asked him a while later if he understood it now and he said Yes...............at last. |
