Chorlton was the registration district for Ardwick, and Ancoats until 1928. My late Mumalways said she was born in Chorlton because her birth was registered there but she was actually born in Ancoats. |

On the 1901 census my great aunt was born in....Lancs Con M Manchester. Can anyone tell me what area is this ? do not understand the meaning of Con M / regards Kay |
