Hi Nicky - just read your query. MALLAMS is a very old & respected firm. They have sales @ Oxford & Abingdon regularly - also Bicester.
Drewitt Neate of Newbury are very reputable too. Hint - Look for the trade member logo SOFAA (Society of Fine Art Auctioneers)
If you feel like buying you will often find real goodies at Farm sales and House sales, often cheaper. (Usually run by well-known firms anyway) Remember - You can always outbid a dealer and get what you want - They have to make a profit. Good Luck.

Hi
You could try googling for them in the area you want hopefully they will give you a feedback too on how good they are, should state their fees too.

Hi, I have never been to an auction room before but would like some antique silver cutlery valued and possibly sold. Would anyone on the boards here be able to recommend a reputable auction house/room in the Berkshire/Oxfordshire area that specialises in silver cutlery? Many thanks Nicky
