When you hover your mouse over the image, it should show a little magnifying glass with a "+" in it.

Just click!

Or get out your own magnifying glass. I've got a couple right near me here - shall I PM them? ;)

I have to get No.1's parents to spill before they go, too. As far as I can tell, they know who some of their grandparents were and that's it, and aren't interested either. Thank goodness my mum is, and if only my dad were still here, because he was.

I did manage to do some tracing of No.1's once, back a generation or two in a line or two (having one set of their parents be unmarried is a problem right at the outset, as many here know) ... but he wasn't at all interested, and now it's in a pile somewhere ...

Susan##, didya look? Doonesbury. ;)

Hi, Susanwithnumbers:)) It always amuses OH when his brothers (one in England) tell me some family story and I know it's wrong. For instance, they have both told me that their maternal grandfather was born in Wales - wrong.....he was born in Stockton on Tees. Oh well it must be great grandad.......no he was born in Stockton too. Well the Morrises do come from Wales - what about great grandad's parents. Ummmm...they're from Kent. And the reply? "Never, lass.....you've got it wrong" lol

Just a little:)) The funniest thing is when I'm talking to him about HIS family and he says "who are we talking about?" It's a well known fact in the family that I know more about their ancestors than they do. My father in law was the one who actually got me started and I'm glad I wrote down some of his stories before he died.

Such a familiar scenario, Janey. Sent it immediately to OH"s email address. Oh and it came up no problem just had to enlarge it.

Iif you don't see a comic strip with the third box saying:

"Hey, did I ever tell you about the Viscount St. Austell-in-the-Moor-Biggleswade-Brixham who preceded me?"

let me know!

No.1 here got a chuckle. ;)
