COMMOM COMMON AND PADDLE WITH ME
DOWN THE BEACH
WE STARTED DOWN TOWARDS THE SEA
AN THATS WHEREI SAW THEM I DEFINALY DID

THOUSANDA OF CRUSHED SHELLS LAYIN ON THE BEACH

Nothing like a bowl of Winkles and a pin,,,mmmmmm heaven.

Those were the days,untill the students came and that ruined the place.**M**.

A pier we could walk on ... a good pub full of local characters

No but aq few of my old friends were,always gave a few quid for the cause.most of them are dead now,Sadly. But that was before they B-gg--d up the Stade.and Joe Martin was the Coxn. and The Dolphin was a good fishermans Pub, with Tucker and Jean Running it.**M**>

Oh Merlin are you a member of 'The Hastings Winkle Club'?

(peops do Google, they do a lot for local charities)

There meybe no shells with cracks or wrinkles.but if you look closely you,ll find a great "Winkle" ( on an island ).:o)>.**M**>

There are stones of every hue
Under these Sussex skies so blue
Stones with stripes, Stones with holes,
Bits of driftwood, seaweed, shoes with soles
Many, many different sights to see
Do not worry about shells just three

When we once again get back our shore
Months when the visitors are no more
We will again a carpet of shells see upon the sand
Washed there by waves, untouched by human hand

My friend she came down here
To Hastings with its shut down pier
Grandsons we each had one
To play together & have fun
Her granddaughter made one more
To play together at the shore
We took the children out each day
Oh! We had so much to say
Shells on the beach they could not find
But there were stones of every kind

It's all those *** holiday makers, they come down here pick them up & take them home. lol
