recognised.

Has anyone else had this problem, when I changed my provider in May I changed my new email addy on GR as well as every other site I use regularly.

So Why is GR the only one that tells me they ""That site name is not allowed """

Would like to know if anyone else is having problems with GR....it is telling me I am still with Sky.com.

Tried changing my email addy 3x today but it won't accept it.

Hi Sue . Just a thought, have you tried setting up a hotmail account and seeing if GR would accept that as your email?

Failing that, I haven't a clue, sorry...lol...

Thanks Maggy.

will try that and if it doesn't work it must be GR.

GR will accept Hotmail as your email address, I use one myself on here.

Using your ISP for an email address is in a way storing up problems for the future as Sue has found out. If you change your ISP, then you may have to inform an awful lot of people or organisations of the change. By setting up an independent email address you change your ISP any time you like without problem.

If you set up an independent email address like Hotmail, it's probably wise to set up two at the same time. Almost every time you buy an electrical product etc, you are required to give an email address to register the guarantee. The trouble is, once you give your email address, companies then sell it on to others and you end up getting bombarded with advertising material. By setting up another email address just for registering products, then most of the advertising stuff will go there instead leaving your primary email address for what it was intended..... email.

Well I have tried a Yahoo email addy and it's still telling me as I said before.

Plus it is saying No changes made to your account.

So it must be GR.

Thanks for the advise Michael.but will have to wait for a reply from GR now......lol

I had the same problem Sue. Give your email details to GR and they will make the change for you.
