Daff,

When you find the threads, attach a piece of Knicker Elastic to deter the nicker. They will come back to you then.

(If you need to borrow some, there is some in my sewing box.)

wmsl Elisabeth.... did you have your mittens on knicker elastic when you were a kiddie, too? lolol I certainly did... used to lose everything even then!!

I have found *my threads* and *my bookmarks* now.... don't know where they went, but I am very pleased to see them back safe and sound, lol..... wonder if they just fancied a night out on the tiles?

Morning Daff,

I told you that knicker elastic would bring them back.

I did have mittens on elastic through the sleeves, and did the same for my children.

The mention of knicker elastic reminds me of my very elderly Auntie. I did all her shopping for her and had to buy her white cotton knickers from the market, but they always had to be the type with threaded elastic through the tops, not the sewn on elastic. She did like to keep a supply of elastic for the replacement when it had gone droopy.

I would like to stress, I don't keep up this family tradition - If they go droopy they go in the bin!

Have a happy day.
