Thankyou for replies, I hope maybe there will be , if not a direct descendant then a cousin who might want the photos. It is very sad to see so many 'lost' ones at auctions or on ebay , when people on here would often be so thrilled to have just one photo .

The photographer was
Whitlock Herbert Mason 319 High St West Bromwich, listed in the 1896. 1900 and 1912 Kelly's directory

so that puts workplace of Thomas and location for photos in same area which may be helpful.

I will go over to Ancestry and see if i can find Thomas, working for the Gas co.... he should have been there in 1901 and if that fails I shall be buying more credits for 1911 lol.

What a nice unselfish person you must be Rose.As someone who has spent years searching for photographs of my Grandparents because the ones my parents had were destroyed by another relative, I am sure someone would be overjoyed to have the photos.

There's someone on the Surname board at the moment with Ashmore connections - I'll send him a pm to come and look at this thread.

It is 'illuminated ' writing, about 18 x 24 " . along with three photos dated 1914, child and mum and dad ( poss Thomas?) which i am going to try and add on photo page, i am hoping to try and trace some relative who might like it.
