Elizabeth I have sent a message to you with address, hope that is OK.
Unfortunately none of the family live anywhere near the house now and some of us live abroad, but we are all intrigued with this beautiful house that we used to live in.

Which part of Essex are you looking at?
Also in the 19th century, the district boundaries were different.

I have lists of record offices. Not sure which one to direct you to.

Not so easy to do.

If you live local to the property then worth a visit to library - local history section - to see if the street has been renumbered or altered in anyway.

I did this for a GR member a couple of years ago. A house numbered 54 on 1901 census was actually demolished in 1902 to widen a road but number 54 does exist today but the street has been renumbered twice. Once numerically from one end to the other and then to make odd numbers on one side of the road and evens on the other side

Old electoral lists are held at a main library or archive local to the address.
The lists are compiled of information collected the previous October.

If you have an address, you need to find the book of the local area, then find the right parliamentary ward within that district, then check the alphabetical lists of streets, which then show registered voters for each address.
No lists were published in the war years.
Remember the voting age has changed over the years.
