I have the lime green ....Have had brilliant mash tonight and no aching hand.
£12 is a lot of money but I am glad I bought it

Just looked on the josephjoseph site. The masher comes in lime green or grey price 12.00 pounds. It looks very good, there are a few other interesting gadgets on there too

Thanks Jane for letting us know. I occassionally visit the Denby Pottery Centre, near where I live. They have an excellent Cookery Emporium, where James Martin sometimes gives Cookery demos. They have an excellent selection of kitchen tools etc, that you don't see elsewhere. I have a 10% ticket for the beginning of Sept. so I'll go and see if they stock it.

OK folks .It is green ,hard plastic .You push the top down which is on a spring and the masher bit is on the bottom.It takes all the stress out of the wrist.
It was expensive and cost me £12 .OH thought it would be a 5 minute wonder....but he was wrong.No the potato doesn't hit the ceiling but can go over the side of the pan if not careful.it is just getting the hang of it.
I say £12 well spent for me.

Does that mean if you press the spring down hard enough and let it go ... . your mash ends up on the ceiling ? pmsl
