Not all husbands are like that. I am exactly opposite, always on time or early. I won't say a time if I am not sure if I can make it. But I know what you mean, it is so annoying when people are late. My wife's brother and his wife have no idea of time. Last time they stayed with us we agreed that the next day we would take a ride into the Peak District which is about 30 minutes drive away and have lunch in a nice country pub. We had to knock them up at 10, and then we had breakfast. We said you get ready we will wash up. They spent 30 minutes deciding who would shower first and she went into the bathroom at 11.45. She came out at 12 in her dressing gown and in the meantime he had made tea. He finally went in the bathroom at 1.00 pm and came out, in his dressing gown at 1.30. This time she made a pot of tea and they sat around, both in their dressing gowns, until 2.15. Finally they went into the bedroom to dress.

We just made last meal orders at our local pub at 3.00 Forget the Peak District, it just did not happen. And they wonder why we don't go and stay with them
