I watched the one in Liverpool from both the Catholic and Protestant cathedrals, it talked about the building of them which I found very interesting. |

I used to watch it sometimes. I love all the great, old-fashioned, non-conformist hymns (but am a non-believer) and can still remember the words to most. However now it seems to be mostly 'happy clappy' and people's 'inspirational' stories, which I hate! |

Meant to say that I agree with Joy about the lack of church services on tv. |

I used to enjoy it when Flora Hird presented it, she was so sincere and funny. I also enjoyed it when they used to go and do an outside one by the seaside with all the holidaymakers singing along. Reminded me of open air services on Southsea promenade when I was little. |

Yes, I watch it ,I know quite a few people who watch it. I love singing to the old hymns, not so keen on the new ones. |

I am an atheist but I always watch, or rather listen to, Songs of Praise. I don't know what it is but when hymns are sung well they are some of the most spine tingling things I have known. |

Bernie - that's how I feel! Sometimes I wonder if I'm a bit weird as I love hymns (The Old Rugged Cross leaves me in a heap), sacred music, even Gregorian chant, I also love churches but am a definite atheist. |
