Does anyone have a possible answer to this please? On my great grandmothers death certificate in 1915 it states that her husband, my great grandfather was George Abbott Private 20601 of the 5th Welsh, can anyone tell me what regiment this would have been please? |

I would guess at the 5th Welch regiment. I served in Korea with the Welch regiment - war-times probably made up the extra battalions. Their HQ was Maindy barracks, Cardiff. |
