The movie was good, but we can do better.

My former No.1 (not the current No.1, who isn't former as of now) came from Texas. Not too long before I met him, he lived for a time with Ginny.

Ginny had been married to Jay. Before Jay settled down (if he did), he was a bit of a blade. He had liaisons with many local ladies. Including ... Jerry Hall and Koo Stark.

So you see where that gets me!

Can anybody beat Mick Jagger *and* Prince Andy in five easy steps??

Either a more thrilling pot of gold at the end of the rainbow (within six degrees, of course) or fewer steps will do. ;)

My son dated Alvin Stardust's daughter Sophie - does that count?

Stardust has been married three times: firstly to Iris Caldwell (sister of Rory Storm), who was an ex-girlfriend of both George Harrison and Paul McCartney, having grown up with them in Liverpool;[3] and secondly to actress, Liza Goddard (Sophie's mother).

Goddard was first married to former Doctor Who actor Colin Baker (who played the Sixth Doctor), and then to 1970s musician Alvin Stardust

Now, when you say "dated" .... ??

Sophie's dad's liaisons don't count unless your son, er, dated Sophie's dad! And they don't count for you at all, oh vicarious liaiser.

I'm trying to be discreet here. ;)

I also think I'm probably supposed to know who Alvin Stardust is. Oh, I see -- 1970s musician.

I'm afraid I missed the 1970s. Music ended in 1971. It's had fits and starts since then, but not during the 1970s. ;)

Apparently, still within my own five degrees, I also get a banker named Warren Walker.

"Article: Koo Stark sues 'love rat' banker for pounds 50m." (in 2000)

How exciting. I wonder who he'd get me.

Yikes, I keep forgetting. Six degrees takes me to Bianca and Fergie ... But I guess not in the same timeline, so I'm safe.

And no competition!

I thought *somebody* would have, er, dated somebody famous, or somebody who dated somebody who dated somebody who was famous. ;)

Oh, and want to brag about it.

The amazing thing about mine is that they work in the timeline, I think. First came Mick/Andy, then Jerry/Koo, then Jay ...

Five degrees is a bit of a stretch, though, so I'm surprised I haven't been beat.

I guess it's like genealogy, though. If somebody doesn't keep proper records ...
