How lovely to have photos of 5 generations.
When my grandson was born here in Kent, we knew my Mum would be longing to see her 1st great grandchild, so my husband went to Hampshire to fetch her to spend a few days with us.
We have some lovely photos of our 4 generations together and many more of her with the young one before she died when he was 10.

They sound like my brothers Berona. Consequently, my grandson is older than my mother's grandson.

Not a chance in either side of my family. All of us are late starters. I was nearly 30 before my first was born and daughter was 24, sons 32,32,37 before they even left home! What chance have I got?

Precious photos - I'm proud of my four generations but to have five is really something special.

I have a photo of my grand daughter on my grandmother's lap.
Grand daughter was about 9 months old, her gg grandmother was 98.
Gg grandmother sang a nonsense song to her.
Unfortunately gg grandmother died aged 99 in 2003.
Like Kitty, I have a photo of the 5 generations together.

My gran missed out by 4 years. We are lucky to have four generations and have lots of photos. Have you managed to get photos, Falky?

That's brilliant Kitty. Did you send it to the local paper at the time?

My great Grandad was still alive until our eldest was 2..............he was 93 when he died.

Of course I wasn't in the least bit interested in the family tree then, so missed the chance of chatting to him about his ancestors:(

I do have a photograph of the 5 generations together though:)

Sadly, OH's grandmother died 5 months before our grandson was born, so missed out on being a g-g-grandma. Has anyone on the boards actually got a real live g-g-grandparent in their family.
