good woman lol.... but failing that a chat would do.

Bad day at work and disgusted watching the news...isn't that the biggest argument against the BNP you can think of? , I wish those three worse than they gave that poor little kid and what was on the news was the tip of the iceberg apparently ... let them take their chances in a prison with no solitary .
Scum.

Evening ladies... I don't come from a good area or well off background, makes me sick when they said about a 'deprived underclass'... it has nothing to do with being deprived , poverty or lack of education.... most of our ancestors were deprived..didn't make them sadists did it...

Aalthough I think that these three show the worst kind of evil, I don't think that they should miss with other inmates.

They should be in Solitary for life.

Locked in a cell till thy die. No human contact, no tv or radio or magazines.
Just a toilet, (with no flush) and enough food and water to keep them alive.

No visitors, no eye contact with prison staff, just left to stew in silence.

At the risk of being hounded off this thread.......

I'd be interested to know whether others think that people can be born evil or do you think that their up-bringing makes them that way?

Dear Suzian

Hello

I think people can be worn down by life, problems and most of all
poverty.

There are always bullies for whatever reason, usually through their own inadequacies or jealousy, ready to pick on the vulnerable.

But then you get this.

Every so often, nature throws up a freak. Totally evil and rotten.
They never reform and only fools, like some judges and psychologists think so with their theories.

In the case of the people mentioned in the news, it would be better if capital punishment was carried out.

This is an extremely disturbing subject.

I only hope that the young baby is now at rest and has peace.

Sincere wishes
xx

Thanks both

From my position of total professional ignorance, I tend to agree

What bothers me about this case is why three people - two genetically related and one not - could conspire to such unspeakable cruelty?

I come back to the question - "nature" or "nurture"?

(plus, sorry, Elizabeth - I agree with much you say, but I can never agree with anyone - even the state - killing anyone else)

I'm at a loss here. I don't know of the case you are all referring to. However, I don't agree with the death penalty for two reasons:

1. It might be found later that the convicted person was innocent (as with Timothy Evans hanged for the death of his wife and child - which John Christy eventually owned up to).

2. Why should they be put to death (humanely, as it now is) and only suffer for the time between being caught and being put to death?
Let them suffer for the rest of their natural lives - it makes them suffer longer!
