Aww Huia,

I have never read the thread until now, so had no idea what you were going through.

I am sure after a rest you will feel more comfortable with your decision...after all....what can one do when one has tried all avenues?. I am sure you know what is best.

Susan, I too had not realised what a chatty thread the Just Jean one was, will have to pop on there sometimes when it is quiet on here. Hope your situation is sorting itself out too.

Dear Huia, I know how difficult it must be for you and personally feel you are doing the right thing. My dad nearly killed himself trying to look after my mum, it is a 24 hour a day job. His safety is your first priority and hopefully he will not be placed too far away to visit often.

Thank you Susan, Liz and Gail. I know it is the best thing for him and for me, but I am going through the forests (paper tissues) at a rate of knots. Not to mention the pharmaceuticals (headache tabs), but it probably wont be so bad tomorrow after a good nights sleep. And our son is coming up tomorrow anyway so that will help.
