What's a cramp tablet, Berona?? I want them!!

Mine go through stages. One week, it's my outside toes trying to detach themselves from my foot. Then my big toe tries, starting way up in the arch. Some of the most fun ones recently have been when the top of my foot decides to try to rip itself off from the rest.

I'm taking my multivitamins and bananas to try to get the potassium levels up because of the BP meds depleting it ... and that isnt helping.

Never happens at the office. Never. Not once ever. Only when I'm having dinner, watching tv ...

I do know that one thing that makes it worse is not enough sleep, if that helps anybody.

I want me some cramp tablets!

Berona

Berona Report 14 Aug 2009 23:15

I know how painful it can be. I used to be able to buy cramp tablets from the chemist, but last time I tried, they wanted a prescription - so I got one next time I saw the Doc.

Haven't had them for ages - yes, my toes spread out like those of a duck!
This week had them in the calf muscles. Jumped out of bed and did the Highland Fling!

lol sue I also get cramp in my toes and am often found in the wee hours pressing my foot against the the wall!

2 things that bring my cramps on are:

1) Lack of salt - I have a fairly salt free diet but need the odd bag of crisps to prevent the cramp.

2) Cold, I dont know about you but we dont have a duvet on at the mo, havent for months, if you get cramp and feet are cold once you have managed to releive it try putting some socks on and go back to sleep- your feet may be cold if your blood dosent circulate so well.

3) not an option if its a cuddly eve lol

I suffer from terrible cramp in toes, yes I do drink tonic water to try and help.

Yesterday morning I woke with excruciating cramp, swung feet out of bed and peered at left extremity.
Wait for it............

If it hadn't been so bloody painful it would have been quite funny.
