Hi Sue,

I have just checked the following census, that of 1891. There is no Edith Creedy born 1873 listed as living in Somerset but there is the following entry for the household of Robert and Elizabeth Lanham, in 397 New North Rd, Islington, London.

Edith Creedy, Single, aged 18, Visitor, born Somersetshire.

No occupation is given Don't know whether it is "your" Edith, but I cannot see another girl of that name and age in the census. Her grandmother Mary, also Caroline and James Creedy were still living in Bishops Hull in Somerset in 1891, so Edith was not living with them. Looks like she went off to London to seek her fortune.

The only other Edith Creedy that Ancestry records in 1891 is Edith Creedy, born 1880, the daughter of Harry and Emma Creedy living in Kent.
