Does anybody know about bird songs?

There was a bird calling in the garden this morning that I didn't recognize and could not see.It's call was three notes,a bit like a whistle,just the three.

Could it have been a wader?I think greenshank might sound something like that.

Thank you.I have found the site but I have not found out how to get the sound to work on the computer.Will have to keep the sound in my head until the other half comes home now.

Sharron, can't help you but have this picture of you practising the sound to keep it there till your o.h. comes home, then you warbling at him pmsl

Done that.The cat walks over the keyboard and turns the sound off then,sometime later,he will walk over it again and turn it back on.

I don't know how he does it but am happy to live round it.

Anyway,I spoke to a neighbour who does know about bird calls.He heard it and thinks it was too consistent to be a bird.He thinks it was something electronic.
