I would like to do that, Julia, read myself off to sleep but can't cos o.h. moans, hence me staying on here at night lol and then the week he gets up for work at 5am I go up and read in bed for a bit, other times I have to read elsewhere when I can snatch a mo. It's a good idea to keep your bag ready and a book there too for your hospital visits. I picked up a couple of books at our local supermarket where there is a bookcase and a box, you leave books there if you want and you can buy any for 25p each and the money goes to charity. There aren't many times I go there and can't find something good to read. |

Thanks Purple, I have stacks of books to get to. I also bought two in Tesco in the two for seven pounds offer. I don't read during the day, with the housework, shopping, gardning, and computing, so I take myself off to bed at 10.00 and have an hours read. And there is always a book packed in my bag ( the bag is kept packed permanently, to save OH having to run around for things) for my emergency visits to hospital. Couldn't lie abed with no book, and I never take my lappy with me.LOL |

Hi Julia, nice you are able to get out and about again and found some bargains. I would have been very tempted so probably as well I don't have the car after all today or I might have gone into Smiths and seen the offers lol Have a stack of books ready to read, well about four, lol, and I sent off for an offer from a newspaper I was reading in Sainsbury's cafeteria last week, a holdall and book for the price of postage, £2.14 so hope the book will be one I like, there wasn't a choice. |

Just been into W.H. Smith, and the bargain of the day is, if you buy a copy of The Times for 90p, you can buy a copy of Tess Gerritsen's latest book for £2.99, instead of the normal £6.99. They are also doing a 'but 1 book, get another at half price, so I took advntage of that also and had two books by Linwood Barclay, of the murder/detective genre, plus I got two vouchers for £5 off when you spend £15 or more on books. A bargain all round I think, well it is for me. |
