Does anyone know how long it would of taken to sail from Bombay to London back in the late 40s on a steam liner?

I've not got a clue, but OH says approximately four weeks, based on when he was shipped to Egypt.. Some-one else may know for definite.

Thank you Marilyn and May Blossom, I was hoping it was about 3/4 weeks.

I've just found out that my MIL arrived here 28th December 1948, my sister in law has been searching all her life (60 next week) for her father, who she believed lived in the UK. It looks like she may have been conceived on board ship or possibly before. The name of the person she thinks is her father is not on board ship so maybe we should start searching in Canada as she thinks he was French Canadian.
