Hop on another branch and see what's hidden amongst those other leaves.

Also - have you tried all the tree matches on this site? I've found that they can often throw up a good lead.

I am looking for travellers and have been given a site to visit but still finding it difficult. Maybe because the Travellers site is new to me. If I send a PM would that be OK....OOOOH I do hope so


I have started two new trees this week for friends and they went along very quickly, then returned to a long stop on my tree and hey presto found several answers coming at once!!

Yes, Rosie, have a break. I have been doing my tree for ten or twelve years now. I work on it religiously until I hit a brick wall, then move to another branch and do the same and when I hit a second brick wall, I give it away for a few months and usually find that when I come back to it, there is yet a new set of information on the internet which can help me - either a new site or something added to an existing site.

When I get to that stage I kind of go sideways and end up exploring little twigs of my branches. Sometimes having those little connections has helped me solve a bigger branch.

Then i have those branches from western Europe and due to the World Wars etc I cannot locate records which is a bit sad as I'd like my daughter to know her father's side of the family

Course sometimes my tree just won't oblige and one minute I am following a nice trail only for it to come to a screaming halt!

At least you have some branches even if they are only half!

Hello

Have a break!!

I got stuck at one point. I got really cranky!

After a few days, I went back to my research and then things began to move again.

I got one link, then another and ended up with over 20!!
It just fell into place.

Still haven't solved some puzzles.

So have a break and then when you are ready you will be refreshed for
new researching.

i have millions of travellers on my dads side they are as easy as anything to find (shocking i know lol).
i have smiths on OH side they are easy as anything ..
cant fine the other branches so easy arrgghhhh .
been trawling all night and i aint got anywhere lol
me thinks i will give up and just have half branches lol
