Teacher issues swearing warning

I agree, too. I never heard my parents swear until I was grown up and that was only a mild adjective or two.

I was standing at a bus stop with my daughter, years ago, this was, when a woman and a small boy walked past. The mother said to her son 'I have told you a million times, stop bl*ddy swearing'. We were in stitches but in hindsight it wasn't funny for the poor kid!

A Greater Manchester head teacher has warned parents they will be banned from his primary school if they swear while on the premises.

Martin Henderson, of Westmorland Primary in Brinnington, wrote to all families threatening legal action after an increase in bad language.

He said he had received complaints about the way adults were speaking to each other - and their children.

A notice under the Education Act 1996 will be used to ban abusive parents.


It's not that they are shouting at other people's children, it's that they are swearing at their own kids.

The letter he sent said: "This must stop immediately.
