after I do not know how many weeks at least 10 - my kitchen is complete and the workman has left. It looks absolutely great and I am really chuffed to bits. Off now to cook dinner in it.

Think I'll have a long wait for mine. We have all put in a claim for equal pay at work and am hoping to put my pay-out towards my new kitchen. We have been waiting 2 years for our case to be heard and have just found out that it won't be heard until next July :0(

Sounds lovely, Mary, what colour scheme have you got,we start our at the end of the month , coffee and cream dark tops and floor...I am sure you will enjoy it...

Very pleased for you Mary, you have been very patient.

This house badly needs a new kitchen, it hasn't been touched since o.h. and his then wife moved in in 1983ish but as he hasn't even finished the bathroom yet and that's almost on it's second anniversary of being started lol, no way would I suggest or support a kitchen makeover! We would starve to death before it was done, he won't pay anyone to come in and would want to do it all himself...... nuff said!

Jean - bet yours will look great. I am afraid I am boring and had blue tiles with light wood cupboards and a blue mottled worktop. I love willow pattern and bought all my collection over to Spain - so say no more. The old kitchen was green and so typical Spanish - no cupboards and worst of all tiles as a worktop - I always said how on earth can you roll out pastry on that so always had to use a board - but not any more - yippee!!!

Mary, the willow pattern will look so good with the units. I saw one on a diy show they had the same colour scheme as yours, it looked very fresh and light....

I'm sure it looks beautiful.
We are also having our kitchens done... council.... and they are going to be lovely too.
i am busy sorting out the *must keeps* from *the must throw outs*;-0)
What a job it is. An accumulation of years of presents and silly buys!
We are giving so much to the church sale ...November.... that we could probably start a shop if we sold it ourselves. ;-0)

I hope you have many years of happiness in your new kitchen.
10 weeks???
They reckon on 3 weeks for ours, so I hope they are right.

Off you go Mary, make a cake and I'll sell it at the sale..... yeah right, I will make a cup of coffee and eat your cake and give the money to the sale. OKAY? ha ha ha
