NO
have tried flushing myself through for last few days but over night got worse, temp going up and down feel sick and tummy hurts.

Had to resort to going to Dr now got antibiotics and loads of cranberry juice and lemon barley.

Suppose if its got me its leaving someone else alone and after 40 years of having it should be used to it by now

Gwynn have had it since i was a tot and had a spell in hospital when i was young to see if they could find out why but no nothing showed up oh apart from not to give me relaxing medicine while i played on the rocking horse, it worked a bit too well and i fell off it.

Did amuse tiddler this morning though when she found out i was taking a sample to dr whole house were told what i was doing

Me too! the spell in hospital when I was young, the tube, and excruciating pain when trying to pee afterward ... the finding nothing ...

I seem to have finally outgrown it. But not before letting No.1 share the joy a couple of times. ;)

And I know somebody else here who has it as we speak, but I'm going to keep her secret ... because she has the *honeymoon* kind ... !!

I had it once and it was h *ll.

I tried all the supermarket remedies, which were a complete waste of money, then went to the Dr and got antibiotics which worked immediately.

I sympathise with those who get this a lot. :)))

I have mentioned this before, but worth saying again. I was a martyr to cystitis for years, and then I read about cider vinegar, which I have been taking, 5ml in squash or water daily for the last 22 mths. I had one spell at the beginning, but have not had it since. Added bonus for me is that it has lowered my cholesterol. I believe you can Google for more information.

I suffered a lot in my early 20's thank god I havent had it for over a decade but wont say exactly how long pmpl!!!

If the other cures dont work I found lemon Barley water by Robinsons good as it was an alkaline to the acid. Used to drink it by the bucket load - back then my GP called it Honeymoon-itus. Thank god the world has moved on!

Someone reckons that yoghurt is good, but they never say which orifice to put it in.

Just a thought,do you know that Nuns don't get this curse ???

when I used to work in my local chemist, we always used to recommend Robinsons Lemon Barley water, and also a bottle of Potassium Citrate. (Not together though) The taste of it is horrible, but it helped flush it out of the system. Everyone used to come back into the shop and say thank you as it cleared up very quickly. You can still buy Pot Cit at the chemist today.
