£26 Billion on the new Yas Marina Circuit, is it me or what, thought the world was going through a bad time at moment, what could you do with this sort of money in Africa say.

Hello RB, I had the same conversation on here the other day about football, most sports generate their own income and the surrounding areas will benefit from , the money used to bulid the track is soley from them involved with sport..

It's all relative to the country's own wealth. You could apply the same principle to the 2012 olympics! I can assure you that the costs of the new (magnificent) track is a drop in the ocean in Abu Dhabi. There will have been wealthy people queuing up to contribute to the complex.

I can see your point about the poverty in the third world, try telling the US that when they spend massive amounts on spying, defence and space exploration.

Yes I can see your point about proverty, I could also debate on our own health care, why does the Royal family sit on billions, just think of the healthcare we could have with that but its never going to happen, till the revolution happens....

Of course it was worth it, it's not just a race track it's a complete complex which will attract a huge amount of revenue year round. I wish I could afford to stay there :-((
