Muffy I invested in a massive chest freezer years back and have always got plenty of stuff to eat. If I make say a chilli or a curry, i'll always make etc so I have some portions left for the freezer:) I buy my coffee beans in large packs, split them up and freeze them in portions too. And i keep me tea lights in there too...

My freezer didnt come with shelve/baskets
so I commandeered biscuit boxes.....I buy bacon/sausages chops, steak n stuff in bulk, line the boxes, wrap items into small portion sized parcels and pack it into them...before freezing...

Cheese is lovely in soup, use the crumbly type like cheshire, soak it all up with chunks of garlick bread, it makes such a substantial meal you don't need anything else.

Leftover greens, throw on the compost heap, they still won't be wasted that way.

Muffy it is a bit of a faff chopping everything up at the same time of cooking.I find it better to chop and cut everything up way before I start to cook.I just have bundles of veg and bacon wrapped in cling film all in a row lol.So I can just chuck it all in and have a clear work top.

Brussels sprouts are real wind generators. I always secretly give them to my Zeus man a good few hours before OH takes him night fishing...and they sleep in the Bivvy together,,,,,,,,,*titters*

Ingredients -

1/2 Cabbage finely sliced (not heart or thick veins)
2 Leeks cleaned and finely sliced
3 tbsp oil
2 handfulls pumpkin seeds

Heat oil in a frying pan and fry cabbage and leek - keep testing and tasting - should be cooked but still crisp. Then add seeds and cook for 1 to 2 minutes.
