Need to verify a birth date of 1819, anyone know how I can do this if I have no access to parish records? would quite like to get a birth printout if possible.

Have you tried the IGI? you may find a christening /marriage
Difficult thing is, before birth etc were registered, there was no formal way of recording such events.

if you were not christened, there will be no record, simple as that.

If you could give a name and area of birth it may come up on Ancestry. I could have a look and hopefully find it.

The birth I'm trying to find is for Thomas Pennell, the date I've been given is 6/6/1819 Hurleston, Acton, Cheshire UK, plus his wife Sarah Foxley c 1821.
Have tried IGI, am now wondering if perhaps they were Quakers and if so I wouldn't find anything on official records so would have to find the Quaker registers which I understand were very detailed.

Hey thanks for all your help people. I do have some of the info but not all. I don't know where the information came from in the first place, as the person who did the tree has now passed on.

One question, how do you put the info you find on here, is it cut and pasted?
