with Military Operations with the British Forces in the Balkans : ā

He is also recorded as being in the 2nd Batallion on his Medal Card.

GOLD MEDAL FOR VALOUR. - DECORATIONS CONFERRED BY HIS MAJESTY THE KING OF SERBIA.
Order of the White Eagle.
.3652 Private William McEachrane, 12th Battalion, Argyll & Sutherland Highlanders (Campbelltown).
The order of the White Eagle was instituted on 22.feb 1882 by King Milan I as the former principality of Serbia became a kingdom. It was awarded for outstandig actions and merits towards the king or the country. This breast star is from a GC set and it's one of the rarest varieties
I got a good bit to go on.
