maggiewinchester Report 22 Dec 2009 10:59

As I have an enforced day at home, I decided to have a real clean up before Christmas.
First job - clean the oven.
I open it - and a bl**dy cat tries to get in.
Move her away - and she jumps on my back!

Okay, i'll clean the fire out.
Same cat then follows me and starts playing with the ash!

Well perhaps i'll clear the junk off the table.
Cat gets on the table and starts throwing the nuts from the bowl onto the floor.
I start picking up pieces of paper (bus tickets, telephone mesages etc) from the table - cat grabs my hand- very gently - starts licking my fingers - then begins nibbling them.
I extricate my hand, cat turns round, finds a tiny dolls house basket I have carefully arranged twigs in - a log basket - picks the basket up, flings the tiny 'logs' everywhere and chews the basket up!!
The thing has been there all week - why has she decided to destroy it just as I was about to put it away?

This isn't a kitten - she's 3 years old!!

I need to go into the attic to get some extra Xmas lights down - but daren't while she's around, and the chances of her staying outside for any length of time in this weather is slim.

Anyone want to borrow a cat for a day? Very cute and fluffy - unless she's bored!!!
All you have to do is brush her and she's your friend for life!

Thank goodness her brothers are content sleeping!
