No worries :-)).....She has to have 2 injections & this should be a laugh as they are not going to knock her out this time but use laughing gas lol


Stray.....they'll do the scan when they'll do the injections, the reason they do the scan is cos 1 injection needs to go into an awkward area, she hates having to scan cos they need to bend her foot about

Hi Julie, I've only just seen this about T, i haven't been on FB much of late, and when i have i haven't been paying much attention, sorry.

I hope she is feeling brighter and that the steriods will do the job for her again. Hopefully she won't need too many.

The consultant say if it had have only been 1 injection it could have been, but cos of 1 need to go in at a funny angle she need to have a scan 1st.

You are right as in we don't understand, & what i found hard was not having someone to talk to when she 1st got it.

Now all i need to do is get her to take the tablets without crunching them lol

Oh Julie Thats really good news just a shame they couldnt do it there and then , Lets hope her wait isnt to long.

This condition is awaful and I really dont think people understand what these children and people go through in just their every day life

She has to have 2 steroid injections, 1 in the front & 1 at the side of her Ankle.....When it will be i don't know at they only do this procedure twice a month but she has 1st available slot

We've been pretty lucky. she was diagnosed but before her 3rd birthday & within a year we were at GOSH for the steroids.
She continues doing everything that she would normally do & those that know her would tell you they wouldn't believe that anything was wrong.
Her school has been fantastic & if she has said she is in to much pain to do PE then they have let her off from doing it
.

Big hugs for your daughter. My son was diagnoised aged 4 with JA like you we went to many hospitals before being believed. Eventually I contacted Arthritis Care to see if they could help and they were Fantastic - put in touch with Wexham Park Hospital in Berks where the country's leading specialist was (but this was 20 years ago) but do contact Arthritis Care as they are a great support to children and parents.
Son had it worse in his knees and he found wearing thermals during cold spells helped and has recently bought some more due to this weather.
Does she stay in during playtimes at school during this type of weather? School may be difficult over this but persevere saying it is due to health problems.
One other thing we were advised on was for him to ride his bike as much as possible as it took pressure off his joints. Also the anti inflammatory drugs we were prescribed I got in liquid form as it was faster acting although tasted disgusting.
Do keep us posted on her progress

Awwww Poor T I have only just seen this Julie, I do hope she is sorted soon will they give her injections?

My sister has a form of arthritis in her ribs, its called Tirzettes or something she has to have injections . xx
