to those who think I owe apologies


I have being accused of lying about an intruder in my Daughters house & also of getting another member to post about it.
It seems certain people think I did these things to try to make people think differently about me, or attention seeking. Well those who actually know me already know my character & those who think I would do such a thing are not worth bothering about!
The title of Dizzi’s thread was the question the PC asked when he had finished documenting the break in. I am told it is for victim support.
As for sitting at my pc watching Dizzi put up that thread, she rang to say she had done it & I logged on when I got home.
Yes, Dizzi is among those I count as friends; we have spent many hours together. I back my friends, as you do yours. I do not like seeing them used to ‘score points’, being ridiculed & made to feel bad & will post defending them.
I may not be on the boards much this afternoon as the people I care most about in my life need my attention.

One word....POLLY. That was the cheapest point I've seen scored on here for a long time. Glass houses and stones etc.

Now, first I haven't made comment on Dizzi's thread, and I am genuinely sorry you have suffered a break-in, I have dealt with enough break-ins, (in a supportive role, not my own) to know what you are going through. Dealing with the emotional aspect harder than dealing with the mess and loss.

I saw nobody accusing you of lying, I did see some mention of attention seeking, which is different. But I'm open to being corrected if it was said outright, I may have missed it.

I personally don't think Dizzi should have put the thread up, it's your perogatvie to do that. Isn't it enough to have your personal space violated in the break in, without your personal business being broadcast around the world, and if Dizzi rang you to tell you she had DONE it, then clearly she hadn't asked how you might feel about it first.

I'd be very upset at a friend broadcasting MY personal business on the internet before I had even got home from dealing with it. But then I'm not in the habit of telling the world my troubles anyway.

No idea what the break in thread was about, I didn't see it.

But I am one who thinks Polly is owed an apology and nothing you have said has made me think differently.

Hello Carol I do hope you had a good nights sleep if you didnt I am sure sleep will come to you tonight it will get better.

I too didnt see anyone accuse you of lying. Lynda post read " is this a debate? " there was no lol or thing to suggest she was making fun of your situation.

I have not now or ever made fun of anyone with an illness, nor will I ever. I do strongly object to anyone using any sort of a condition to stir, and when confronted with with that have I am not good with words its my illness thrown back at me, also that I have no compassion for a 82yr old lady, I didnt see any referance made to anyone of that age any by Dizzi herself, she does this sort of thing to suit her purpose. I too am useless with words I can not express my self like TW or RRose can, but I dont make excuses for it.
