In his early days in the public hospital Phil was convinced that they were trying to poison him. I took a piece of his pasta as he wasnt eating it. He kicked me in the shin but when I didnt drop down dead he decided to eat it.

Yes, Liz, you have to make sure that there is no poison in it. How would he like it if he woke up dead because some idiot had put something in it when it was in the shop?

Hi Huia, and Michelle, I am forever jumping up to fetch info from the lounge or make a cuppa etc, just had to get o.h.'s pizza out of the oven, I cook it now so it's ok for him to cut up and take to work at 6am, as part of his pack-up. He only has one a couple of times a month, if it's one I like, he often finds I have eaten a slice lol How can I sit there and smell it as it cooks and cools and not do a taste test lol

I don't have to worry I can't even get to my desk somedays before at least three people want me, I'm usually having to ask for people to wait until I at least get to put my bag down or in the winter to wait until I've had a chance to take my coat off.

Just read this:

Long stretches of time spent being seated increases the chances of developing diabetes and heart disease -- regardless of how much a person exercises.

In a study published in the British Journal of Sports Medicine, Swedish researchers found that after four hours of sitting, the genes that regulate the amount of blood sugar and fat in the body start to shut down. This throws the body's systems out of whack, a process which even exercise later in the day doesn't seem to undo.

Experts suggest simple steps, like walking around your office every couple hours or taking the stairs instead of an elevator, to help combat the health risks of a sedentary lifestyle.

If you are reading this, chances are this is something you need to think about.

I bet lots of people spend this amount of time sitting at their computer, so maybe we need a little timer to go off every so often to set us all walking round the room!
