About 5-6 inches and it is still snowing grrrrrrrr

It's bleak in this area too. Bad around Folkestone, I'm told.
The worst snow of winter I think and many schools have shut even those that managed to keep going in the last snow, a few weeks ago.

My thoughts are with the family of the young 19years old Folkestone soldier killed in Afganistan. I hope they are still able to lay him to rest today with dignity.

we've got a good 5, 6 inches in places here, just been out the roads are really bad . Gritter lorry was out gritting main road for the first time...DOH a tad late me thinks. & the traffic into the main town has come to a stand still as apparently a lorry has over turned, it was on the news a little while ago.

Oh Gwyn i was wondering when the funeral was my thoughts are also with his family .
At the moment we have a terrible blizzard.

I cant get upto the main road by car and 3 abandoned cars along my road which is hilly. Tonbridge is clear as a bell where my OH is working today, unbelievable, it's blowing another blizzard here too now and it's been off and on like that all morning. Now my Satellite on the tv has gone:(

I've put xtra food out for the birds this morning too.

I have had to just throw some bird seed and fruit on to the ground as i cannot get to the bird table

Whirley ...it is strange as this snow seems to be just the tip of East Kent my son rang and said that there is none after Marden.

Lets hope it goes as quick as it came lol

No snow in my part of Kent - just a little flurry every now and then but nowt on the ground :O(

Weather men said it was going to be mostly south of a line drawn from Canterbury to Eastbourne.
Looks like they were right then.....

It's stopped snowing now but still plenty on the ground here. Apparently another dusting tonight for the home counties and London are due for a dusting too.. The sun was out earlier and I thought it was all going to melt but I think it's just too cold out.

Still lots of snow left around Folkestone, when I ventured out shopping yesterday.
There's film on youtube of someone skiing down The Old High Street last week, ....normally a narrow cobbled street.

Anyone want some?
