I also use 'Shift Insert' for Pasting

Useful if you are also deleting bits with your right hand as the Insert key is just above delete. Left right arrow to the insert point then hold shift key with left hand and straight up and hit insert key with right. You can almost do it without looking at the keyboard.

We used to have a bloke at work who knew all the key shortcuts - he was a bit of a nerd really but some were far faster than using the mouse.

Found this on the net

How To Copy and Paste:
Take your mouse, and place your cursor at the beginning of the text in the box below, then click and hold the left mouse button, while pulling your mouse over the text. This should highlight the text. Now release the left mouse button. Now, with the cursor over the highlighted text, right click the mouse for options, and select 'copy'. Now over the empty box below, right click your mouse again, and select 'paste' and you will have copied and pasted the text. :-)

Thanks again Travelman, i gave it a try but couldn't get the hang of it. However i will keep trying as i might be getting a laptop and this would be easier than having to connect up a mouse to the laptop, thanks again x

I know it's different but I find it easier - try it and let me know what you think!

I have edited my reply to give you the traditional method in brackets ;)

Go the start of the text you want to copy, and holding down your left mouse key drag the mouse through the text until it turns dark blue.

Press Ctrl key and C at the same time (or right click mouse and select copy)

Go to where you want to paste and click into the box until the curser shows

Press Ctrl and V at the same time and hey presto (or right click mouse and select paste)

Good luck

Please help me help another, i learnt to copy and paste from an old thread on here. I have tried to search and found a thread talking about it but i can't find the thread.
Judy taught me to copy and paste and it was worded simply and i could understand it very easy.

Judys' computer tips i think it was.
I have tried to word it simply but it is so long winded they didn't understand .

Can someone word it simply for me, thank you.
