Alf,s a good character to hinge stories around.
He seemed like the Mayor the Confessor the expert at many things.

Just before the series started back, I saw clips of 'coming soon' and in one scene, I saw a funeral with girls in school uniform standing by an open grave. I'm still waiting to see when we will get that - and who is in the grave.

Jett is a scheming, manipulative little toad. He delights in causing dramas.

I think Adam will be back, have seen shorts of an empty warehouse, so a double-cross going to happen at some stage.

I'm a bit bored with Dex, April and the whole Uni. thing. Sid needs to get a love life, his character is a bit stale at the moment.

Alf's always threatening to knock someone's block off, but he has a bad heart and needs to keep the blood pressure under control. He's just a cranky old bloke.

Poor Jett. He's in love....at the age of 13. He just happened to see Indi walking out of the water in her 'itsy bitsy, teeny weeny' bikini - and he suddenly became 19!!! So now, he is trying to break up her marriage - but I think Romeo is wise to him.

Have we seen the last of Adam and Jamie? I wonder what the writers have in store for us next?

Marion that's a great site. I really enjoyed looking back at the old characters. Angie Russell was a nasty piece of work.

I have now read that item and realise how much I have to catch up on! The only ones I knew were Kirsty and Kane and even then, I didn't know that story. They came back into it only a couple of years ago. Apparently still in hiding, Kane took off and Kirsty was there for a while. This is not mentioned in that article and makes me think it was written quite some time ago.

In the "Early Years", it is up to where Pippa has not long married Michael and Marilyn has just met her biological mother.

I'm sure she was agter Don Fischer's job.There was a male teenager,Irene's son had a crush on her,she played him like a fish.
If memory serves this teacher was shot,but I never did find out by who.

I think Allan should be writing the script personally; would be a great improvement on the current lot. They leave out important details and don't research a subject very well. Situations appear from "nowhere" without explanation.

We often have a visit on this thread from Allan, who also doesn't watch it, but his wife does. He gives us some wonderful stories of what is going to happen next.

At last! The 'early years' has started up again, so I will be able to see what happened then and watch for current actors.
I knew that Don and Marilyn married but have not seen it. At this stage, they are only casual acquaintences. I also knew that Marilyn had a son, Byron. If you look back at the beginning of this thread, Sally's twin brother, Myles, had lost his wife and daughter and he kept seeing the little girl when nobody else did. The girl brought a little boy with her at one time, and Marilyn could see him. It was Byron. Both children were older 'spirits' - the age that they would have been. I didn't know that Don was his father, though, so I'll be watching for that romance.

You were watching it before I started, Kim. I was trying to catch up when chanel 72 showed it from the beginning. Even then, I didn't find it until it was up to '89, but I followed it until November ( it was up to '91 then) - and they haven't brought it back yet! They are even using the time slot to give us a re-run of last night's episode. I didn't know that until Wednesday - too late - but I picked up Monday's episode this morning - and after all that, I didn't miss much!

Sydney has had rain to-day, but I'm not far from Parramatta. We had one light shower at 4.30am and a few sprinkles at 8.30 and that was it! It rarely rains where I am and we sure could do with it! The Queensland floods are bad again and have now moved into NSW with at least one death. With fires still burning in other parts of the state, I can't see us having much wildlife left after this. It upsets me to think of the animals trying to get away from the fires.

I remember all Irene's children, so it would have been Damien who had the crush, but I can't remember back that far if anyone got shot. Donald Fischer was always good value and a good actor. He was married to Marilyn and they had a baby named Byron. The little boy died, but this is going back years.

Berona good to get some rain today and much cooler. My grass is burnt and the plants are looking worse for wear. Poor Queensland though with the floods again. :-(

What part of the world are you in, David? A magazine was recently released to celebrate 25 years of H&A. It was out of stock when I tried to buy it, but my daughter is on the lookout for a copy for me. In the meantime, I will read up on what I can on the internet. Perhaps Kim, Marion or Barbra might be able to answer your question.
