I'd get the roses, it's a special occasion simply because the boyfriend is home, good enough reason for four red roses I'd say.

I got half adozen red roses today off Itsmytelly ....but I havent got him anything..

i did get offered some roses for valentines day but it was in exchange for, a quiet night in with me, lol i declined and lmaoooooo, at the cheek of im lol x

We don't do Valentines .......but having said that he has bought me a box of posh chocs this year ! ( I spotted them yesterday in a bag down the side of the fridge ) I rushed out and got a box for him .....lol
we are eating mine at the moment as it happens and I feel decidedly fat and unromantic................lol

Load of old tosh.

My hubby and I didn't do it for 24 years, but for the last 5 years I've awoken on the 14th of February to find a romantic gesture from my hubby. Be it a cuddly toy or some chocolates. I must admit i always find it hard to buy hubby something as he's not a soppy person, so this year I've got him a DVD. Can't wait to see what he's got me.

We don't do valentines either, though he did buy me two boxes of Maltesers this year.....only because they were on bogof lol.

I've always thought valentines was about secret admirers, cupids bow and all that....in other words for single people.

These days the industry has made it about the couple, sex and of course money. It puts needless pressure on some couples, and really doesn't mean a damn thing.

Who wants to admit to *not doing Valentines day*....we don't bother .....

We stopped bothering after about year 2 of being together.....I'd rather get flowers or be cooked a special meal on one of the other 364 days of the year....it would mean more.

Old cynic......yep.....but overpriced flowers bought with a gun to his head means nothing to me ....how many others are there that feel the same?xx
